Spring 2025
I moved to London in September 2013 to become a copywriter and, almost 12 years later, I’m thankful to be leaving the city with a career I love. I’ll miss London a lot, but I’ll be popping back for work anyway; I’m booked with a lovely London-based retail brand for the next few months.
I’ve yet to work with any Brighton-based brands or agencies but I’m finding plenty of copy inspiration in the higgledy-piggledy streets of independent shops and market stalls. I particularly enjoyed the copy (and pizza) from the brilliantly named Pizza Me, Slice for You. I love it when a brand finds a copy theme and goes all in. Pizza names include: Where’s Me Specks (with smoked ham speck); Egg Me On (with a soft baked egg); Some Like Me Hotter (with jalapeños and ‘nduja). What a dream project for a copywriter.
Talking of dreams… leaving London has given me more space to breathe and, most importantly, the space to home two kittens! After diving into the world of cat food, litter and accessories, I am manifesting a cat-related copy project for myself in the near future…
